Famous Indian Handicrafts

Rajasthan is famous for items like pottery and marble animal figures, which has a immense demand in western countries. These handicrafts are used to decorate every kind of place like a hotel, home and to add to the look of luxury.

Indian artisans are famous for carving pretty handicrafts, and extracting rich and opulent Indian history out of every type wood available, it includes rosewood, teak, mango wood, sandalwood, etc.

Each of these gods is a symbol for some particular kind of blessing for e.g. it is believed that keeping a picture or a statue of the lord Ganesha brings happiness and prosperity.

Another kind of handicraft which is famous for its beauty as well as its history is statues of Indian gods like Shiva, Krishna, and Ganesha.

The wooden Ganesha statue has become popular in few years among every culture, including non Hindu.

Lots of times the designs of these statues are derived from some ancient picture in Hindu culture and some other times from temples.
